INTRODUCTION
Subject  assosciation  help  the  students  to  know  about  the  importance  of  the  subject. These  activities  provides  co-  operation  among  the  students.  All  the  students  participate  in  these  activities. It  helps  to  develop  the  creativity  of  the  students .  The  students  get  an  organisational  capacity .  These  activities  give  new  knowledge  about  the  subject  &  give  information  about  various  things .

Subject  Assosciation  Activity  contains  a  collection  of  activities  from  a  global  library  that  would  be  performed  on  a  common  subject . Students  learn  through  their  participation  in  the  attainment  of  knowledge  by  gathering  information  &  processing  it  by  solving  problems  &  particularly  what  they  have  discussed.

As  part  of  Subject  Assosciation  Activity  we  celebrated  National  science  day & Republic  day  , set  up  a  library , an aquarium.

1. NATIONAL  SCIENCE  DAY  CELEBRATION

February  28th  is  celebrated  as  National  science  day . The  motto  of  Science  day  2016 is " TO  RAISE  PUBLIC  APPRECIATION  ON  SCIENTIFIC  ISSUES  FOR  THE  DEVELOPMENT  OF  NATION " . National  science  day  is  celebrated  on  28th  february  every  year  in  order  to  commemorate  invention  of  Raman  Effect  in  India  by  the  Indian  Physicict , Sir  Chandrasekhara  Venkata  Raman on  the  same  day  in  the  year  1928 .  For  his  great  success  in  the  year  1928.  For  his  great  success  in  the  field  of  science  in  India , Sir  Chandrasekhara  Venkata  Raman  was  awarded  &  honored  with  the  nobel  prize  in  physics  in  the   year  1930 .
As  part  of   science  club  " HARITHAM "  we  conducted  three  competitions : Essay  writing , poster  making , seminar  &  quiz  competition .  All  students  from  various  departments  participated  in  these  competitions . Two  students  from  each  department  participated  in  quiz  competition . For  selection  of  finalist , a  trial  was  conducted . The  team  that  won  was  Maths , second  place - natural science , third place - physical  science  &  fourth place - sanskrit. The  prizes  were  distributed  by  the  principal .

2. REPUBLIC  DAY  CELEBRATIONS

On  26th  January  2016 , at 8:00 am  we  assembled  in  our  campus  to  celebrate  Republic  day  . Our  principal  hosted  the  national  flag  &  we  sang  the  patriotic  song  Vande  Mataram . Our  college  union  chairman  distributed  sweets.  We  went  to  auditorium  &  started  our  programmes  . Principal  , Dr. Vijayakumari  Amma  gave  an  introduction  speech  about  republic  day.  All  teachers  conveyed  a  message  to the  students . At  last  winners  each  competition  were  announced  &  principal  distributed  prizes . Vote  of  thanks  was  given  by  college  union  general  secretary .

3.SCIENCE  LIBRARY

We  set  up  a  science  library  in  our  natural  science  lab  for  the  purpose  of  effective  science  learning . We  bought  different  science  related  textbooks  for  arranging  this  library . These  books  helps  in  many  of  our  classworks . For  seminar  presentation , practical  works ,  practicum  etc. we  can  prefer  the  books  brought . This  science  library  develops  scientific  attitude  among  students , develop  different  skills ,  motivation  for  innovation ,  increase  reading  skill  etc. .

4. AQUARIUM

An  aquarium  is  a  vivarium  of  any  size  having  atleast  one  transparent  side  in  which  water  dwelling  plants  or  animals  are  kept  &  displayed .

HOW  TO  SET  UP  AN  AQUARIUM:
  1.   Use  a  plate  when  adding  water  to  prevent  gravel  displacement .
  2. Rinse  the  gravel  in  clean  water  &  add  it  to  the  aquarium , sloping  it  up  towards  the  back .
  3.  Place  clean  plate  on  top  of   gravel  &  start  to  fill the  aquarium  with  water .
  4.  If  tap  water  contains  chlorine  , add  chlorine  neutralizer .
Using  these  steps  we  set  up  an  aquarium  in  our  class .

CONCLUSION

To  make  each  student  active  player   in  the  learning  process , an  environment  must  be  created  in  which  there  are  oppurtunities  for  students  join  in  doing  task . In  &  out  of  the class  excersises  that  include  problems  for  solving  or  questions  for  answering  are  important  for  prompting  students  to  use  language  conjuctively  &  develop  thinking  skills .
